OPTICAL POS SOFTWARE

Optical POS software

A retail register sells something that already exists. An optical sale doesn't: the product still has to be made from a prescription, and it's often paid across several visits. Clarya's point of sale is built for that.

The sale already knows the prescription and the stock

Quote, then sale

Turn a quote into a sale without retyping it, with the patient and their prescription already attached.

Multiple payment methods

Split a single sale across cash, card and transfer, and print a receipt configured for your counter.

Deposits and installments

Take a deposit, track the balance and record each payment with full history — no side notebook.

After the sale

The sale opens the lab order, and the balance stays visible

Once the sale is closed, the lab order is created from the same prescription and tracked until delivery. If the patient still owes a balance, it shows on their chart — so whoever hands over the glasses knows what to collect without asking around.

FAQ

Questions about the point of sale

Do I have to re-enter the prescription for the sale and the lab order?

No — this is the core of how Clarya works. The prescription is captured once during the exam and carries through to the sale and the lab order automatically. That single step is what removes most re-typing errors.

Does it work if I have more than one location?

Yes. Multi-location is built in, not an add-on. Each location has its own schedule, inventory and cash handling, while the owner can see the whole operation from one account.

Can I control what each person sees?

Yes. Permissions are role-based, so an optometrist, a front-desk associate and an owner each see what their job requires. You can also grant or revoke specific permissions per person.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Clarya runs in the cloud, so you open it in a browser from any computer at the front desk, the exam room or the lab. Updates and backups are included — there is no server to maintain in your office.
